The Mayor

    A 3rd person simulation game in which the player is the Mayor of their own city. Random events makes everything possible

    In Mayor you control most decisions, lead your city and the people through hard decisions. Establish an infrastructure by invoking political decisions, bribe or blackmail your opponents, hire or fire official employees to your likings. You are the ultimate boss and every decision you make has a consequence that may empower you or be your fall.

    You are in control over the City Council which includes representatives from the Police, Healthcare, City Attorney, Finance Director, Fire Chief, Public Works Director and the Planning Director. Surround yourself with loyal people and lower the risk of losing your power. But trust no one, even the most loyal friend may be plotting to take your seat – anything can happen!

    Each day random events will appear, some even requires an action taken. Some actions are taken at ease while others are harder to make. Every decision you make will affect the gameplay in one way or another. You may lose popularity, influence, money, employees or even your job.

    My part

    My role will be the lead developer. With background from programming, I will code the entire game using C# in Unity.

    I will also be in front of the development regarding the website with API, multiplayer network code etc.

    Finances is also my responsibility, I will be the one paying for everything we need to get started. Only I will be taking the financial risk during early stage of development.

    So far I've provided:
    - 2x Servers (Linux RedHat)
    - Programming
    - Advertising
    - Graphical assets
    - Gameplay ideas
    - Level design

    (Expected) Revenue

    We will try launch a Kickstarter around mid April 2018 in order to see the response and hopefully be able to finance more content before early access release.

    Early access will be published to Steam, depending on the reception we will look forward to release the game on consoles as well.

    At the moment there is no plans on releasing this game on mobile devices, but this decision is not final.

    Risks & challenges

    We have very low risk factor when it comes to the gameplay, considering every asset that is beeing used is paid for and work very well together.

    The obvious risks are:
    - Kickstarter may not be funded.
    - Steam revenue might take some time due to Simulator games need time to adapt to the marked.

      Function description

      This game is using the Polygon assets from Unity Assetstore made by Synty Studios. The asset is a low-poly style in which we want the gamestyle to be. Having the game in low-poly type of style gives us more freedom to create content in a more rapid speed at a lower cost. It also gives us time to focus on in-game content rather then spending time trying to make everything appear as realistic as possible. Beeing a 3D modeler in this team means you are in charge of continuing the work by creating and modificate existing models. There is no time devotion requirement other then at least a few hours per week.

      Requirements

      - Able to modify models - Create new models (Humanoids) - Low-poly style - Able to export for Unity FBX - Good communication skills - Interested in learning

As the Graphic artist you create visual pleasing images to the game aswell as the community. Images are used everywhere such as promotion, loading screens, menus, in-game GUI etc. You are responsible for giving the game a recognizable theme. There is no time devotion requirement other then at least a few hours per week.
