Corridor

    This teamup is to create a psychological horror game in Unity.

    Corridor

    Plot: The player is working in an office during the 1970's. The player has everything he wants - being boss of 3 people, his own office, access to the better bathroom, his own personal computer, and the best thing of all... A red stapler with his name on it. The player is asked to bring in some papers to his boss. Right before lunch time, the player finished and started to make his way to his boss's office. He goes through a few hallways which all look different than he remember, but he ends up at his own office again. He tries again, but ends up at his office once again. When he turns around, the whole office has changed once again.

     

    Concept: Corridor is a game that at first looks similar to Silent Hills P.T. and The Stanley Parable, but instead goes in a different direction. The player is put into a seemingly normal office, but as the game goes on, the office changes completely. The main mechanic is changing the office in order to help get the player to his boss's office. The office can change by either moving around the corridors, or doing puzzles.

     

    Technical: The game is created in Unity 2017.2 in C# and will be created for Windows and Mac.

    My part

    Name: Jakob Peck

    Role: C# Programmer and Project Manager

    About me: I am a 19 year old college student with 3+ years of experience with both Unity and C#. I am currently studying Computer Science, but I have completed 3 computer science classes.

    Because of my current situation, I can pretty much work every day on the game.

    (Expected) Revenue

    The main focus of the game is not on making a lot of revenue but creating a game that allows us to be known to the world.

    But the expected revenue is hard to estimate since we are treading into unknown territory.

    Risks & challenges

    One of the challenges that we will have to overcome is working on the game while working without a budget.

    Another Challenge is about creating a unique puzzle mechanic that catches the attention of the player.

    A risk is losing a team member and all of their assets(Code, music, models, etc.)

      Function description

      As a programmer, you will be put in charge of creating code for the game and making sure the code is readable for others to use. You will have to constantly test the code and make sure it works before we incorporate it into the project. Responsibilities - Coding in C# - Testing code constantly - Keeping code readable - Keeping in contact with others

      Function description

      As a 3D Game Artist, you will be tasked with creating 3D models for the game from the corridors to the little props found through out the game. You will talk constantly to others on the team and work with others in order to make sure the models fit the game. Responsibilities: - Create 3D models - Create a single art style that will represent the game - Work with others on the team - Keeping in contact with others

      - Must have 2+ years of 3D modeling - Must be able to export to Unity using any format that Unity accepts - Must have a portfolio - Must be able to communicate with others
